AK Interactive RC932 Real Colours Lacquer Based Paint - Military #RLM 02 RLM-GRAU (1938) (17ml)
AK's high-quality lacquer-based varnish boasts a superior chemical formula compared to other brands on the market. It flows smoothly in an airbrush, adheres to the surface effectively, and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish. It securely holds all kinds of weathering products. For optimal results, it can be diluted with AK701/AK702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners specifically designed for lacquer-based paints.
This paint represents the colour variant featured in the colour chart included in the 1938 edition of L.Dv. 521/1 regulations.
Used for painting Luftwaffe aircraft interior surfaces from around 1935 until the end of World War II (according to official regulations, replaced in this role by RLM 66 in the summer of 1944).
Overall colour of Luftwaffe combat aircraft in 1935-1936 and trainers (seen in this finish even in the mid-war period).
Also used as upper surface camouflage colour of Luftwaffe fighters and heavy fighters from the late 1939 until ca. mid-1941, afterwards its role as a camouflage colour was limited to mottling.
A fair match to BS381C/389 Camouflage Beige (Hemp) used for painting upper surfaces of RAF Nimrod patrol aircraft, Canberra PR.9 recon aircraft, Victor and VC10 tankers from the 1980s until their withdrawal from service.
