Matho 99015 Foam Board HD - Thickness: 5mm (0.19"), Size: 25 x 17.5 cm (9.84 x 6.89")
Foam Board HD is the perfect material for scratch building (cobbled) roads, (brick) walls ... Unlike the more readily available polystyrene foam board, our Foam Board HD is made of polyurethane foam, which has a higher density and allows for more detailed impressions. It is very easy to cut and sand. Details can be impressed very easily into the foam with any kind of tool, making it the perfect material to create your own stone structures or other things. The surface is rougher then our PVC Foam.
Consists of 1 sheet - thickness: 5mm (0,19") - size: 25 x 17,5 cm (9,84 x 6,89")
How to use?
Foam Board HD consists of 2 layers of bristol cardboard with the foam in between. The bristol cardboard must first be peeled of gently on 1 side. This is very easy to do. Use a steel ruler to hold the remaining bristol cardboard in place while peeling of from top to bottom. For rigidity it is best to leave the bristol on the other side, unless you want to detail both sides. Be extremely careful when doing the other side, as the board is now much weaker (especially the 3mm and 5mm versions).
