Drums and Crates 1787 1/72 Long Tom 155mm M115 Howitzer
1/72 scale kit printed in 3D in resin, printed in high quality. Requires assembly and painting.
This 8-inch (155 mm) howitzer began development in 1919 under the name M1, but was soon abandoned; it was resumed in 1927, although the 1929 depression again slowed down its development. Its use in the North American army was not standardized until 1940 under the name of M115.
The two most relevant characteristics of this weapon were: on the one hand, its long barrel that earned it the nickname "Long Tom" and, on the other hand, its mounting, which is divided into two sets of balancers and includes two-axis bogie that mounts eight wheels.
These guns could usually be seen being towed by an M4 HST tractor.
This is a resin model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted.
