The Panzerhaubitze 2000 is the most up-to-date and powerful self- propelled artillery system in the world today. The first production vehicle was handed over to the German Army on lst July 1998. It has a range of 30,000 m. The PzH 2000 is driven by a 736 kW MTU 881 Ka-500 Diesel engine and reaches a maximum speed of over 60 km/h.
