Trumpeter 02846 1/48 Chinese J-8D Finback

This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So glue, model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required.

A new-tool kit of the J-8D "Finback" fighter, in 1/48 scale from Trumpeter. The J-8 is an indigenous Chinese design, although it can trace its roots back to the MiG-21. The Finback D is a more advanced development with much larger radar for the air intercept role, and twin intakes likely inspired by the MiG-23. This kit includes full armament of PL-5, PL-8 and PL-9 air-to-air missiles, external fuel tanks and rocket pods. It also includes photo-etched metal detail parts.
