Aoshima 04540 1/700 Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) Light Cruiser Oyodo 1944 (Waterline)
This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So glue, model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required.
Completed February 28, 1943, the Imperial Japanese Navy Light Cruiser Oyodo served in support actions in Truk, Rabaul, Palau, and Singapore. The Oyodo also served as the flagship in the Battle of Leyte Gulf, taking over for the stricken carrier Zuikaku. She was later attacked and sunk by Allied aircraft in July 1945 as she lay awaiting repairs at Kure, Japan.
Aoshima's waterline kit of the Oyodo depicts her as she appeared in 1944.
