The Mayflower was a typical English merchant ship of the early XVII century. After two aborted attempts for having to return to port for repairs, the famous trip began on September 6 reaching the coast of Newfoundland in November. It was not until well into the winter when it managed to reach New England. On his return the Mayflower would be destroyed, building almost three centuries later a replica that can be visited as a museum ship in the port of Plymouth.
